That day Chloe went to that place where people have stupid voices.

The weekend just gone, I went to see Wolverhampton University.
here is the website. (http://www.wlv.ac.uk) to be fair the website doesn't really give away much but
if you haven't had a chance to check it out yet, I would highly recommend it.

At the moment, obviously i am studying 3D, so I mainly focused on looking at the applied arts course they do there, you get to play with glass, metal, wood ceramics and anything else that tickles your fancy. I also checked out the fine art course too, because Gayle says i work in a fine art manner. It turns out i actually liked the look of that one more. I get to play around with all those bits from the applied course but the briefs are more relaxed and I can do what I want more freely :) plus its only 220 ucas points to get in! scoreeee :)

The uni is jam packed full of top of the range industry recognised equipment such as ceramic kilns, the best glass facilities in the country, fancy drills and saws top of the range computer sweets, whatever you might need / want to use, its there. It does obviously have loads of good textiley stuffs for all you fashionistas in the class but i didn't really get much time to focus on that bit as its not my subject area. (Hence go have a loook :D )

The school of art is all compacted into its own building that is 7 floors tall. This is incredible because everything you need is easily accessed in one place. Right on the top floor is the fine art section, and there's like separate floors for each section. For example one for ceramics, one for metal, wood, textiles etc and every floor is just incredible to look at. The work rooms have a 360 view of the city because the rooms are covered wall to wall in windows. I know how cheesy it sounds but, its almost like you're working in the clouds. Its amazing. I could imagine going here already, and i can really see myself spending night and day working in there! Considering the work rooms are open 8am-9pm I could well do!

The whole uni is so impressive to look at. (I'll admit on the outside the school of art block looks a bit shabby) but the rest of it looks like it has been newly built, and its really easy to navigate around the campus. There are lots of choices for food and drinks in the wide range of cafes and restaurants on site, there's cash machines and everything you could think of needing all in one place. Everyone I spoke to was so enthusiastic about the courses and the uni, and you could tell everyone there really enjoyed being there.

As for halls, they are about a 10 minute walk from the campus, and the whole uni is situated right in the centre of town. There's an Asda right behind the halls and a gazillion shops in the town centre (so many i didn't even get a chance to look at them all.) There's an abundance of bars and pubs, places to eat in town and of course the Wolverhampton art gallery is right next door :D I can really see myself living there to be honest. I wish i hadn't messed up college the first time round or I could be in my second year there already. (Waahh)

Basically i would really recommend you take a look around on an open day. i wish i was there now!
Right now i could be eating cold basics beans out of a tin, and  get the chance to defy my parents anyway i want, just to end up doing what they'd want me to do anyway, because ive now been given the chance to live by my rules. :(

obviously im going to keep an open mind as im seeing Bristol next week and Falmouth 2 weeks after that, but at the moment this is my favourite :)

the facilities, the course , the teachers, the halls, the location; just brilliant and i think its really underrated :)

checkk it outttttt

P.S
Watch this film. its the best* film ever made.
